Cyrus Investment Management is to launch a second Precision Engineering EIS fund.
The fund will identify undercapitalised and undervalued precision engineering businesses in the UK for growth investment.
The firm’s first precision engineering fund has made a number of successful investments in the aerospace, defence and security sector, including top five aerospace engineer FGP Systems, precision laser cutter City Engineering, and high security door manufacturer Rhino Doors.
Cyrus has identified 1,500 firms in the UK for potential investment. The majority are small to medium size enterprises, with a value of up to £5 million (€6.5 million).
The UK’s M&A market for precision engineering companies reaches around £4 billion annually, on average. Investors in the fund benefit from the various tax reliefs available under the EIS structure.
