Global ETP flows surpass last year’s level

ETF tradingGlobal exchange-traded product (ETP) flows of $193.7 billion (€152 billion) have surpassed last year’s figure due to demand for emerging markets, gold and investment grade assets. Last year’s flows overall were $173.4 billion, according to BlackRock. In its latest industry update BlackRock says emerging markets, gold and investment grade attracted $10.9 billion in October alone. ETPs listed in Europe generated $4.6 billion of inflows, representing 42% of total global flows in October. This was the highest ratio BlackRock recorded this year.
