FUNDS GLOBAL REPORT:  MENA OCTOBER 2010

OVERVIEW
Funds Global – Mena Report:  our econd regional report published by Funds Europe in 2010, will bring together a mix of distributors, fund managers and securities services providers that have business in the Gulf region, or target the region from key international markets.

The publication intends to appeal primarily to fund managers and distributors with relevant editorial, focussing on industry developments, such as sales trends.

EDITORIAL SYNOPSIS
Gulf risk factors:  How GCC equity risk factors – such as country risk, currency risk and style risk as measured by risk monitors like MSCI Barra – have changed over the past two years, and whether correlations with global and emerging markets are increasing

Putting the ME in EMEA:  Funds Global looks at how Middle East clients are affecting revenue flows for some of Europe’s largest investment managers, and highlights the products that are most sought after

Transfer agents:  Investment service providers aim to bring automated processes to Middle East banks to help them sell funds. But how easy is it for local banks and fund managers to ‘plug-in’ to straight-through processing?

Islamic ETFs:  Islamic ETFs are a cheap and liquid way for Middle East investors to gain exposure to international markets. Funds Global looks at how providers are helping investors access the globe and whether Sharia laws affect ETF structures

Liquidity in the region:  With the recent exchange merger in Dubai how are other domiciles looking to bring liquidity to their respective markets ? Funds Global talks to the local exchanges, brokers and development agencies to discuss their plans for the future.

What does MENA really mean?
With the majority of the financial coverage of the MENA region focussed on the Gulf states little coverage has been given to the region of North Africa. Funds Global talks to the leading product manufacturers and servicers.

PLUS key interviews, profiles, talking heads and industry roundtables for fund management and asset servicing
