fe_awards_2008_small_logo_72dpi.jpg in asssociation with 3_sponsors.jpg Invitation from Alan Chalmers, publisher of funds europe July 2008 I am pleased to announce the launch of the 4th Funds Europe Awards for the Funds Industry. The awards cover five main categories:
  • Individual and Company Awards
  • Investor Awards
  • Business Awards
  • Specialist Awards
  • Support Awards
The Investors Awards are new for 2008, targeting European Institutional Investors and Pension Funds. There are three categories covering both the public and private sectors. Nominations can be submitted by either the Investors or by their Investment Managers or Consultants. In the Specialist Awards category, we have introduced a new award, European ETF Provider, to recognise the growth in that sector and its importance in the market for Institutional Investors. Also new for 2008 is an expansion to the Support Awards, to reflect changes in the industry. We have introduced a new award, European Transfer Agent. In the Technology Awards section our judges have recommended two new awards: Trading Venue, to cover the Exchanges and Trading Platforms (ever more important to the Funds Industry); and a Middle Office award to reflect the increased importance in the industry of data related services and compliance. 2008 has been a year of change, and these additional awards are intended to reflect these changes in the structure of our industry. Full criteria/entry details and document downloads are found on separate pages (see menu top right) - or click the Downloads button below. Entry to the awards is free. The judging in October 2008 is in the hands of leading independent industry experts. The Awards Ceremony will take place at The Tower of London on Thursday, 4th December 2008. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask either me, or email Iain Macarthur (tel: +44 (0) 20 3178 5874). I hope very much you will consider participating in the 2008 Awards.
