MAN INVESTMENTS The hedge fund firm of the year award for 2005 goes to Man Investments Limited. Man Investments is one of the largest global providers of alternative investment products and futures brokers, catering both to private as well as institutional clients. It has launched over 450 products since it was established in 1983. Assets under management are estimated at around $44bn.
  The company is led by core managers AHL, Glenwood, Man Global Strategies and RMG. Each manager is allowed to pursue their investment strategies while still benefiting from the backing of Man Group plc, which owns Man Investments.
  Man-IP 200 Ltd, one of the company's flagship guaranteed hedge fund products has delivered a 24.5% gain in the 12 months ending 31 August 2005 and has achieved an annualised return of 16.4% since its inception in 1996.
  Man Group has presence in key centres such as London, Pfaffikon (Switzerland), Chicago, New York, Paris, Singapore and Sydney. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
