Edmond de Rothschild appoints Laurent Tignard as head of AM

Laurent-Tignard-PhotoEdmond de Rothschild Group has hired Laurent Tignard to head its global asset management business. This appointment is part of group CEO Christophe de Backer’s strategic plan for 2013-2016, unveiled in December 2012. De Backer says that Tignard “will help us consolidate our expertise and confirm our leadership in independent asset management in Europe and beyond”. Tignard was previously a managing director at HSBC Global Asset Management. The asset mangement business has CHF 60 billion (€50 billion) under management and five investment hubs throughout the world (Paris, Geneva, London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong). ©2013 funds europe
