Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (Deutsche AWM) has added two equity market investment specialists to its UK active asset management business with the appointment of Hilary Aldridge and Alex Sloane.
Aldridge joins from Barclays Global Investments Solutions where she was most recently a fund-of-fund manager. She previously worked for F&C Asset Management managing a UK equity fund.
Sloane was an equities analyst specialising in food producers at Societe Generale in London.
“UK stocks are a heavyweight in the Stoxx Europe 600 Index, the most important pan-European benchmark, accounting for more than 30% of the total benchmark. European funds that have specific stock and sector expertise have a clear competitive advantage”, says Britta Weidenbach, head of European equities at Deutsche AWM.
“Both new hires have many years’ experience in analysing and managing UK equities. Their collective reach will significantly enhance our access and research into UK corporates and therefore our ability to identify investment opportunities,” she adds.
Deutsche AWM has assets under management of $1.27 trillion (€1.13 trillion) as at June 30, this year.
