Citi opens securities lending desk in Ireland

Citi has opened a securities lending trading desk in Dublin, expanding its OpenLend capabilities.

The Dublin desk will form part of an expanded Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) securities lending trading team. This team covers global equity lending, global fixed income lending and multi-currency cash reinvestment.

Gareth Mitchell, EMEA head of securities finance trading, will be responsible for both the Dublin and the London trading desks.

OpenLend is an open architecture securities lending solution and part of Citi’s OpenInvestor investment services solution, which provides institutional, alternative and wealth managers with middle office, fund services, custody, investing and financing solutions.
