Carmignac launches emerging markets fund

Carmignac Gestion has launched an emerging markets fund with flexible asset allocation.

Stock selection for the Carmignac Emerging Patrimoine fund is driven by management team’s global macroeconomic outlook combined with an in-depth analysis of companies and country risks.

The managers make tactical asset allocation through active management of equities, fixed income and foreign exchange risk. Being able to actively manage the currency component means they can take advantage of the appreciation in local currencies or protect against the risk of depreciation.

Simon Pickard, an emerging markets equity manager, Charles Zerrah, a global bond manager, and Frédéric Leroux, a global asset allocation manager, are responsible for the new fund.

The fund is a sub-fund of the Luxembourg Ucits IV Sicav Carmignac Portfolio.
