Azpeitia joins Capital Group Madrid office

24.04 PEOPLE Capital Group Alberto Belinchon AzpeitiaInvestment manager Capital Group has hired Alberto Belinchón Azpeitia as a business development associate in its Madrid office, where he will be responsible for supporting business development across Iberia.

The firm's Spanish office opened in Madrid last October, leading to the appointment of two business development directors, Álvaro Fernández Arrieta and Mario González-Pérez. Belinchón Azpeitia joins Capital Group from Barclays where he held a number of different positions, most recently that of premier relationship manager. He began his professional career at Big Four accountancy firm Deloitte, in the marketing and institutional relations department. Grant Leon, senior vice president at Capital Group, says: "Alberto's appointment responds to our strategy of expanding our presence in the Spanish market... This is also aligned with our goal of continuing to establish new - and deepen our existing - relationships with intermediaries and our distribution partners in Spain and across Europe."
