Axa IM appoints Monique Diaz as global head of compliance

Axa Investment Managers (Axa IM) has hired Monique Diaz as its global head of compliance.

Based in Paris, Diaz will be responsible for supporting and developing Axa IM’s compliance teams and sharing best practice. She will report to Christian Gissler, global head of risks and controls.

Diaz replaces Garry Murdoch, who has left the manager.

Diaz has 25 years of legal and compliance experience. She joined Axa Group in 1989 and was previously AXA IM’s head of compliance in France.

Gissler says her role is to “further enhance compliance at a global level and ensure that our business continues to be fully aligned with our framework of standards”.

AXA IM has approximately €607 billion in assets under management, as of the end of September 2014.
