AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Hazel Pitchers to the newly created role of global head of marketing.
Based in London, Pitchers will lead the firm’s global marketing strategy across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.
Pitchers will focus on helping AXA IM build out their digital strategy and will be a member of AXA IM’s executive committee, reporting to Christophe Coquema, global head of client group.
Pitchers has over 15 years’ experience in marketing in the asset management sector. She joins AXA IM from BlackRock Investment Management where she was managing director and head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for retail marketing since 2013, having first joined the company’s institutional marketing department in 2006. Prior to that, Hazel worked in various marketing roles at Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Investment Partners, and Gartmore Group.

Axa IM has €694 billion in assets under management as at June 30, this year.
