European ETF Provider of the Year

iShares continued an extensive programme of listing its ETFs across the major exchanges of Europe in 2008. Thirteen products had been listed in the twelve months up to 26 September.

iShares is also the first ETF provider to make its funds available for trading on Chi-X Europe, the first live, order-driven pan-European multilateral trading facility. iShares is Europe’s, and the world’s, largest ETF provider by assets. In a market that is growing rapidly and sometimes with ever-more obscure products, judges looked for user-friendliness, one of the hallmarks of ETFs.

“iShares has a simple, jargon-free and transparent approach, which we like,” they concluded.
