Aviva Investors appoints non-executive director

Aviva Investors has appointed a former Ernst & Young partner as an independent non-executive director.

Anne Whitaker joins the Aviva Investors Board and is also chair of Aviva Investors audit committee and the risk, remuneration and nomination committees.

She spent 30 years with Ernst & Young and worked in the firm’s investment management practice and as risk partner for the UK financial services practice.

Whittaker was until recently a member of the Barts NHS Trust, where she chaired the audit and remuneration committees. She is also a non-executive director of Markel International Insurance Company and Hitachi Capital, and a board member of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, where she chairs the audit and risk assurance committees.

Euan Munro, chief executive of Aviva Investors, said: “Combined with her non-executive experience in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations, her expertise will be of great benefit as Aviva Investors continues to focus on becoming the global leader in outcome-oriented solutions.”
