Aviva Investors, the asset management business of Aviva, has appointed Ed Casal as chief executive, global real estate.
Casal will replace Ian Womack who is retiring from Aviva Investors and will leave the business at the end of June.
Currently managing director, global indirect real estate, Casal has been with Aviva Investors since 2008. He has experience of direct and indirect real estate investment and previously held the role of chief investment officer, real estate multi manager.
Casal, who begins his new role on June 1, will oversee Aviva Investors Real Estate global operations and will also join the Aviva Investors executive committee.
Bart Coenraads, currently head of Asia global real estate multi manager, will take on the role of head of global indirect real estate when Casal begins his new position.
