Artio Global Investors launches US equity funds into Europe

New York-based Artio Global Investors is to distribute US equity funds across Europe that target both growth and value companies.

The firm, which has an office in London, has launched the Artio US Smallcap Ucits and the Artio US Multicap Ucits funds.

The launches form part of plans to expand its business into Europe. Richard Pell, chief investment officer and chief executive, said that the firm intends to bring select offerings to the European market.

As of April 30, the firm managed US$ 24.9 billion (€9.6 billion)  across a range of equity and fixed income strategies.

The firm actively invests in asset classes where it perceives that inefficiencies can be exploited.
