Australian investment manager AMP Capital has appointed David Allen as global head of equities, based in London.
The new role was announced in June 2015, and marks the start of a new global equities strategy for AMP Capital. In his role, Allen will have responsibility for all equities teams across four global locations, and accounting for more than around €37 billion in assets under management.
Allen has sizeable of global equities and asset management experience, most recently as co-head of asset management at Sarasin & Partners.
Prior, he was co-head of London equities at Fidelity International, and also held equity research, fund management and leadership roles at Pioneer Investments. Allen will take up the position in March 2016.
