Alfi makes appointments to board of directors

The board of directors of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (Alfi), has made three new appointments.

Freddy Brausch, of Linklaters, is appointed as vice-chairman focusing on national affairs and Michael Ferguson, of EY Luxembourg, joins as vice-chairman focusing on international affairs.

The board has also renewed the mandate of Julien Zimmer as treasurer of the association.

Brausch is the managing partner of Linklaters in Luxembourg and has been a partner in the Investment Management Group since 1988.

Ferguson is the EY Europe, Middle-East, India and Africa (EMEIA) regulated funds practice and Luxembourg wealth & asset management leader. He has more than 30 years experience in the investment fund industry in Luxembourg, Ireland, the UK and the US.

Zimmer is the general manager investment funds in charge of coordinating DZ Privatbank’s investment fund business and has been actively involved in the industry.

Alfi recently appointed Denise Voss as chairman, upon the retirement of Marc Saluzzi.
