The Alternative Investment Management Association, the global hedge fund body, has appointed Jennifer Wood as its head of asset management regulation.

Most recently she was a partner with law firm Dechert where she focused her practice partly on advising UK, US, European and Asian financial services firms, and investment managers and investment funds on US regulatory matters.

She studied finance at the University of Iowa and law at the Columbia Law School, where she was the editor-in-chief of the Columbia Business Law Review.
